The most expensive residential sale for the week of July 29 was $880,000 for a home along one of the golf courses in Brandon. The 4,000-square-foot ranch walkout was built in 1986 along Hidden Valley Golf Course. It has five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a four-stall garage. The living room features an A-frame ceiling with wood beams, and there’s a stone fireplace. Blue Dragon Soccer Young, but Ready for Season
The Garretson Blue Dragon girls soccer team will be young, but they are ready to get the 2024 season started. The Blue Dragons have a total of 18 players this year from both Garretson and Dell Rapids. Kaylin Leedy and Cortney Rogich are the only two seniors on this year’s team and will be looked at to lead the team. “We have some returning players who have been staples on the team since they were in 7th and 8th grade, which will also add some veteran presence on the pitch,” said head coach Amber Bos.
South Dakota, Iowa Join Minnesota in Lawsuit Against Live Nation and Ticketmaster
South Dakota and Iowa have now joined Minnesota and 36 other states in a civil antitrust lawsuit two of the largest concert ticket brokers in America. The suit, filed against Ticketmaster and Live Nation, alleges that the companies are violating Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Act, which is a Federal antitrust law, as well as state antitrust laws.
