Black Hills Nationals Wrestling Tournament Moving to Rapid City
The Black Hills Nationals Wrestling Tournament is moving to Rapid City from April 4–6, 2025, moving after 20 years in Spearfish, South Dakota. The Black Hills Nationals Wrestling Tournament, the Central States Fair, Inc., and the Rapid City Sports Commission made the announcement. The event draws 7,000 fans and participants and generates around $4 million in estimated revenue annually.

SPEARFISH — The Spearfish Sasquatch used a potent offense to defeat the Bison Baseball Club Wednesday evening in Spearfish. “It was another big win for us. It was the same thing as last night. Man escapes injury in I-90 crash
SPEARFISH — One lane of traffic was closed temporarily on Interstate 90 eastbound when a vehicle became stuck in a guard rail in Spearfish Thursday. According to the South Dakota Highway Patrol, just after 8:30 a.m. the 60-year-old driver of a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling east on Interstate 90 near mile marker 13 when the vehicle left the roadway to the right and struck the cable guardrail. The vehicle became tangled in cables and came to rest on the guardrail. Traffic was moved to the left lane until the vehicle was removed. The driver was uninjured. The name of the person involved has not been released. The highway patrol is investigating the crash.

BHSU alumnus wins Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon title
SPEARFISH — A name familiar to Black Hills State University fans emerged with top honors from Saturday’s Spearfish Canyon Half Marathon event. Alec Baldwin ran track and cross country for the Yellow Jackets from 2014 to 2016 but now lives in Denver, Colorado. He completed the 13.1-mile race in 1 hour, 7 minutes and 47 seconds.

RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA) - Free healthcare options for the uninsured are expanding into Lead this fall, with the Good Shepherd Clinic setting up a new location on Main Street. The Good Shepherd clinic has provided free medical and dental services out of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spearfish since 2009.
