    St. Paul police investigating homicide in South Como neighborhood

    St. Paul police officers are investigating a homicide reported in the city on Friday.

    Police said a 911 caller was approached at around 7:30 a.m. by a woman who told them a person was dead inside a home on the 900 block of Hatch Avenue, in the North End-South Como neighborhood.

    Officers went to the home and found a man who was unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

    The woman who approached the 911 caller has been brought in for questioning.

    "Homicide investigators are currently working to determine what led to this man’s death and who is responsible," St. Paul PD said.

    It marks second homicide in St. Paul this week. On Wednesday, a 32-year-old man was arrested in connection with the killing of Jonathan Díaz, 35, on Monday.

    Díaz was found shot in the yard of a home on the 800 block of York Avenue. Allegedly, the incident happened due the suspect escalating a feud with Díaz, who was his girlfriend’s ex-husband.

    There have been 14 homicides in St. Paul this year.
