Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation truck raffle now live
The Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation is raising funds to enhance the fair through a truck raffle. The truck is a 2024 GMC Sierra 1500 Pro in Summit White and includes a 5.3L V8 Engine, EZ Lift Power Lock and Release Tailgate, Trailering Package, LED Cargo Bed Lighting, All-Terrain Tires, and 17-inch 6-Spoke Bright Silver Painted Aluminum Wheels, among other features.

The gorgeous weather made up for some miserable days in the spring, when many of those same grandparents and parents endured cold weather watching the Islander high school baseball team.

Los Forasteros is coming to Grand Island, with a half-Cajun, half-Mexican food truck and a snack cart. Tacos y Salsas Los Forasteros is a Mexican food truck based out of the Kearney area. After a couple years of business, the owners wanted to get a second truck for events and catering options.

Grand Island, NEB — Grand Island Public Schools are reducing their bus routes to and from school for the next year due to budget cuts. GIPS eliminating $500,000 out of the budget due to COVID funds running out and the need to increase teacher pay to make their school system more competitive, they say.
