MONMOUTH, Ore. – Western Oregon University’s Foundation announces three new board members: Brenda Rocio Martinez, Jordan Carpenter, and Miranda Garrison ‘09. Brenda Rocio Martinez is a first-generation student from Woodburn and currently serves as the Associated Students of Western Oregon University president. She is majoring in public policy and administration and minoring in communications and business.

On Monday, real estate developers at Mortenson joined the museum in hosting a “topping out” ceremony at the downtown campus. The event marked when construction crews installed the top roof beam that will serve as the structure for the almost 22,000-square-foot Mark Rothko Pavilion, named after the abstract artist who grew up in the Rose City.
