July 30, 1945 – July 8, 2024 - After a life full of adventures and meaningful friendships Douglas Allen Gregory passed away in his home on July 8, 2024. He was born to Jack and Arline Gregory in Portland, OR. He grew up in Molalla, OR and attended Oregon State University, graduating from the School of Pharmacy. Doug served in the Air Force as a pharmacist at Walter Reed Hospital. He later returned to civilian life, working as a pharmacist in the Portland area. He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, George Gregory. He is survived by his sister Judy (Larry Kromer), brother Joe Gregory, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friendships. A celebration of life will be held at Carvlin Hall, 2408 SE 16th Ave., Portland, OR 97214, on July 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. Donations can be made in his name to Doernbecher Children's Hospital Foundation or to your local library foundation in support of children's reading programs.

Salem woman dies in Highway 22 collision
Oregon State Police responded at 6:17 p.m. July 23 to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Highway 22W, near milepost 20. Their preliminary investigation indicated an eastbound Chrysler Sebring, operated by Mary Louise Nathe, 73, of Salem, attempted to turn left onto Oak Grove Road and entered the path of a westbound Ford Expedition, operated by Karen Jean Bell-Stanerson, 53, of Salem. The Bell-Stanerson’s Ford struck the passenger side of Nathe’s Chrysler in a side-impact collision.
