Tragedy struck at the M. James Gleason Memorial Boat Ramp on July 13, with a shooting that left two people dead. The victims have now been identified: 18-year-old Jmeire Asher from Portland and 38-year-old Deangelo Augustus hailing from Salem. In the wake of this horrific event, their families have been notified and are currently grieving in private, according to the Portland Police Bureau.

Portland Opera supports new performing arts center at PSU
The Portland Opera has endorsed Portland State University’s proposal to build a new performing arts center on its campus to replace the Keller Auditorium.
