WYLIE, Texas — A Mesquite police officer has been arrested following an investigation into a June 25 shooting in Wylie, according to the Wylie Police Department. On July 16, Mesquite Police Officer Brian Hill turned himself in to the Wylie Municipal Jail after Wylie detectives obtained two warrants for his arrest. The investigation revealed that Hill was involved in an ongoing dispute with another male and had used his department laptop to access a law enforcement database to provide information to his father, Darvin Hill.

RICHARDSON, Texas — Police are investigating an aggravated assault that left two individuals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds early Friday morning. The Richardson Police Department responded to a disturbance at 4:40 a.m. in the parking lot of Abi Hookah Lounge, located in the 800 block of W. Arapaho Rd. Upon arrival, officers found two individuals injured from gunshot wounds. According to a press release from the department, a confrontation occurred between two groups, including the injured parties.

The McKinney Police Department is seeking information from the public regarding a home burglary that occurred on Piedmont Drive. The incident took place at 3:30 PM on July 13. Two Hispanic males are reported to have broken into a residence, with one individual described as wearing a yellow vest and a gray hat, while the other donned a gray hat alongside a gray shirt, according to the McKinney Police Department.

Aggravated Assault Investigation – On July 5, 2024, at 4:40 a.m., the Richardson Police Department responded to a disturbance in the parking lot of Abi Hookah Lounge, located in the 800 block of W. Arapaho Rd. Upon arrival, officers found two individuals with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Following interviews with victims and witnesses, it was determined that a confrontation occurred involving two groups, including the injured parties. Witnesses identified a newer model white SUV, which fled the scene. Detectives are attempting to identify five people from surveillance video, believed to be involved in the confrontation. Those individuals are pictured, and the suspect vehicle has been identified by detectives as a 2024 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport SE with Technology Package, also pictured from surveillance video. Violent Man Arrested in Domestic Altercation in Royse City
In the early hours of Tuesday, July 23, 2024, Royse City Police Officers responded to a domestic disturbance in the 700 block of Darlington Oak Ave in Royse City. Upon arrival, officers encountered 26-year-old Jacob Johnathan Baez. Preliminary investigation revealed that Baez had been violent towards a female victim and had also obstructed her attempts to call for help.
