A new concert series in North Texas aims to support live music and independent venues
A local law firm and an event production company are launching a concert series. Shane Mullen and Joe Morrison, two attorneys at Mullen & Mullen Law Firm, are leading a new project with Spune Productions called the Mullen & Mullen Music Project. Spune Productions is a family-owned production company, which is responsible for booking concerts at select venues across North Texas. Based on their mutual love for local music, the law firm and Spune created the project to support local acts and venues strained by the pandemic.

DALLAS, Texas — An 84-year-old woman reported missing has been found safe, according to the Dallas Police Department. Maximina Sepulveda, who was last seen on July 24, 2024, at about 2:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Piedmont Drive, has been located. Sepulveda, described as a Hispanic female, 5’05”, 110 pounds, with gray hair and brown eyes, was last seen wearing a pink, blue, and purple flowery blouse and black slacks. Allen Public Library to close beginning August 1 for expansion, renovation
The Allen Public Library will close to the public from Aug. 1 until mid-to-late September during the library's expansion and renovation project. During construction the library will set up a temporary operation at Rountree Elementary. Items that were checked out at the end of July will have an extended due date until the temporary location opens. Allen’s digital library will remain open at AllenLibrary.org/DigitalLibrary, and residents 18 and older can apply online for a 90-day digital-only card that offers access to the digital library.
