DECATUR – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has announced the promotion of St. Simons Island resident Jennifer Woodward to Supervisory Criminal Intelligence Analyst of the GBI’s Georgia Information Sharing and Analysis Center. Woodward will be responsible for the supervision of the GISAC analysts supporting GBI offices in south Georgia.
“Jennifer has dedicated her entire career to serving the state of Georgia as a criminal intelligence analyst,” GBI Director Chris Hosey said. “I can think of no better qualification for her new position as Supervisory Criminal Intelligence Analyst. Jennifer’s commitment will take her far and will serve her well as she leads the GISAC analysts supporting GBI investigative offices in south Georgia.”
"GISAC plays a crucial role in supporting law enforcement and keeping Georgia’s communities safe,” GBI Investigative Division Director Cynthia Adkins said. “The role of the Supervisory Criminal Intelligence Analyst at GISAC is not easy, but Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role. I know that Jennifer will lead her team well with her extensive skills and unwavering dedication.”
Woodward began her career with the GBI in 2017 as a Criminal Intelligence Analyst assigned to the GBI’s regional investigative field offices in Douglas and Kingsland. She has spent her entire career assigned to those offices while at times supporting other regional offices and GBI initiatives as needed. She is a Georgia P.O.S.T.-certified instructor and TAC coordinator.
Woodward graduated from the University of Georgia in 2016 with bachelor of arts degrees in Criminal Justice and Sociology, and a minor in Political Science.
She is from Acworth and currently resides on St. Simons Island.
