Ward elevated to Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Wilson College
Wilson College Director of Athletics Tina Hill has announced the promotion of Dylan Ward as the new head coach of the women’s basketball team. Ward had previously been the assistant coach for the Phoenix under Shane Rottier during the past two seasons where he helped lead the Blue and White to the postseason both years with the 2022-23 campaign being the best season 22 years.

Former NFL and LSU QB Jamarcus Russell is no longer part of the football staff at Williamson High School. Although the exact reason for his departure hasn't been confirmed, it's pretty clear it stems from a lawsuit he's facing. According to court documents, Russell cashed a $74,000 check that was apparently a donation to the football program at Williamson. The check came from Chris Knowles.
