State plans new visitors center for Michaux State Forest at site of golf course
Work is underway on the design of a new visitors center and resource management office for the Michaux State Forest, District Forester Roy Brubaker said last week. The plan is to locate the building at what is now the South Mountain Golf Course at 9632 Swamp Road near Fayetteville, Franklin County. The golf course will be closed.
