1 person transported via helicopter after crash on Route 85 in Salem
SALEM, Conn. (WTNH) — One person was injured after losing control of their vehicle and hitting a stone wall and a tree on Friday evening on Route 85 in Salem. The victim, who was an East Lyme resident, was negotiating a slight “S” turn in the roadway when they lost control of their Jeep Wrangler. The vehicle began to roll over, ejecting 51-year-old Thomas Devito from the vehicle. Devito had to be flown to Hartford Hospital via helicopter, according to police.
