Oswego man identified in deadly fall at Starved Rock State Park, LaSalle County coroner says
A father died after falling at Starved Rock State Park on Saturday afternoon, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources said.The incident was reported about 4:30 p.m. at Illinois Canyon in the park. (Radio Iowa) – Governor Kim Reynolds says portable classrooms being set up for students in Rock Valley will have a different use once repairs to the community’s flood damaged schools are completed. “The entire schools, both public and private, were wiped out — the K-12 — so we found a temporary classroom that we believe, when we’re done, we’ll be able to set up and use them for child care facilities in some of our rural areas, too,” Reynolds says, “so we found a dual purpose.”

Burlington, IA- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced the arrest of a Tennessee man for theft and unauthorized use of a credit card. According to a news release, on Wednesday, July 24th, the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office took a report of fraudulent activity on a victims credit card.
