Flags at Half-Staff for Delagrave; Near Drowning in Lake Michigan at Kenosha
July 1, 2024 7:40a; Updated at 10:10a with new information about the near drowning and bicycle accidents. Gov. Evers has ordered flags to fly at half-staff in honor of Racine County Executive Jonathan Delagrave, who apparently suffered a fatal heart attack while jogging early Friday morning. In a statement, Evers called Delagrave an exceptional leader who worked tirelessly over many years to leave a lasting impact on the county. Delagrave was in his third term as county executive. He previously led the county’s human services department. Funeral arrangements have not yet been announced.
