One person in custody following Richfield pursuit
RICHFIELD — Richfield police took one person into custody Wednesday morning following a pursuit. According to a post on Facebook, police were called to a Maverik in the area of 295 S. Main Street for a report of shots fired just after 2:30 a.m. When officers arrived on scene, the suspect fled.
Lightning strike affects 7 youth hikers in Utah, hospitalized
SALINA, Utah: A youth group of seven hikers in Utah who were struck by lightning were sent to the hospital this week. Sevier County Sheriff Nathan Curtis said in a statement that the youths from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints from Salina, Utah, were in the eastern part of Sevier County around 1:45 p.m. when a light rain began, and the lightning hit.
