    Blotter for July 20

    In Salisbury Police Department reports:

    • Vandalism occurred in the 2300 block of Statesville Boulevard between 6 p.m. on July 17 and 8:52 a.m. on July 18.
    • Possession of drugs occurred in the 1300 block of Klumac Road at 12:15 p.m. on July 18.
    • A larceny occurred in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue between noon on Oct. 1, 2023 and 3 p.m. on July 18 2024.
    • Miscellaneous property damage occurred in the 300 block of North Main Street between midnight and 6:30 p.m. on July 18.
    • A larceny occurred in the 500 block of West Horah Street between 10 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on July 18.
    • Richard Franklin Muttz, 42, was charged with misdemeanor assault on a female by a male over 18 years of age and misdemeanor sexual battery on July 18.

    In Rowan County Sheriff’s Office reports:

    • An assault with sexual motives occurred at Briggs Road at 1:24 p.m. on July 17.
    • Fraud by false pretenses occurred at Mallard Lane at 3:34 p.m. on July 17.
    • A burglary by forcible entry occurred at South Enochville Avenue at 2:40 a.m. on July 17.
    • Lane Frederick Goossens, 22, was charged with felony larceny of a firearm and felony obtaining property by false pretenses on July 17.
    • Wayne Pennington, 35, was charged with misdemeanor trespassing on July 17.
    • Lonnie Seth Wheeler, 28, was charged with misdemeanor resisting, obstructing or delaying an officer; misdemeanor communicating threats; misdemeanor displaying an expired registration plate; and misdemeanor driving without an operator license on July 17.
    • Worth Preston Lomax, 48, was charged with misdemeanor reconnecting utilities on July 17.
    • Jordan Taylor Dunn, 29, was charged with misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia on July 17.
