Let's first start with the counterfeit Christianity called "Catholicism." The Roman Catholic Church started in Rome many years after Paul preached Rome. Let's briefly talk about Mary the mother of Jesus Christ.  It is important to understand that Mary is never exalted in Scripture.  In fact in Mark Chapter 3,  Jesus was teaching in a house and His brothers and Mary sent someone into the house to tell Jesus they wanted to talk with Him. Jesus stated, "Whosoever doeth the will of God, the same is My brother, or sister or mother."  Right there Jesus minimized any significance of His mother or half-brothers. They had to be redeemed like anyone else.  For many years the Catholic Church has taught that Mary is "Co-Redemptrix" with Christ. They teach that Mary is deity and that redemption is through Mary who tells Jesus who to save. "Jesus cannot resist His mother Mary." This Co-Redemptrix" thing originates from the Babylon cults as far back as Genesis Chapter 10.  Nimrod had started this false worship and the "Tower of Babel" was the first Idol that became the object of worship. It spawned all the weird religions we have today. Nimrod had a wife named Semiramis who became the high priestess of these false cults. (Babylonian Mystery Religions you can study in Ancient History). When Babylon was destroyed and God scattered everyone the religions also scattered with them. "Semiramis" worship stayed in Rome until finally Christianity reached Rome and became what Catholicism is today; a combination of Pagan cultism and the New Testament. This Semiramis priestess became known in Assyria and Nineveh as "ISHTAR". In Phoenicia she is called "Ashtoreth," in Egypt "ISIS" in Greece she was called "Aphrodite" and Rome called her "Venus." This Priestess gave birth to a Son that was born by a Sunbeam. (Virgin birth). She is a perpetual virgin and gave birth to "Tammuz."  "Tammuz was killed by a wild boar and so Semiramis/ISHTAR went into mourning for 40 days; and for 40 days she prayed, wept, and denied herself; and on the 40th day, Tammuz rose from the dead.  LENT comes from this pagan priestess' 40 days of weeping and SELF-DENIAL. LENT has nothing to do with our Lord Jesus Christ. Do you know what Tammuz's name in Phoenicia was??  BAAL. In Egypt his name is "Osiris", in Rome he is called "Cupid" and in Greece, "Eros." This Catholic System is Satan's counterfeit. Semiramis was also called, "The Queen of Heaven." She was worshipped by the offering of a WAFER. There were always the 40 days of LENT, weeping over "Tammuz"/BAAL before the feast of celebrating Tammuz's resurrection.  These pagan cults also had Priests, sacramental rights. They dedicated virgins to these gods and that is where NUNS and the convent comes from. Jeremiah 44:15 goes into this whole worship of the Queen of Heaven.  Please get OUT of the Catholic Church and into the truth of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ!  Catholicism is Satan's great counterfeit and Mystery Babylon.
