Two Mountain State volunteer fire departments benefit from the Lowes Hometowns program this year
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va. — Lowe’s Home Improvement will perform nearly $200,000 at two volunteer fire department facilities in the state. Lowe’s District Manager Brittany Roberts said they’ll do the work through the Lowe’s Hometowns program. Materials are provided and associates participate in completing the projects, but members of the community are encouraged to help as well.

Board to vote on restoring funding to Cabell County libraries, parks
A special board meeting will be held on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. where board members will vote on the transfer and allocation of funds that would "reflect a restoration of funding to CCPL & GHPRD inclusive of equalization payments for fiscal year 2024-2025," according to a press release.
