Touch-a-truck connects kids, first responders in Tupelo
TUPELO, Miss (WTVA) – A touch-a-truck event was held at the Tupelo Walmart on North Gloster Street. Saturday’s event allowed kids to get a look inside an ambulance from the North Mississippi Medical Center, patrol vehicles from the Tupelo Police Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, and Mississippi Highway Patrol, and a Tupelo Fire Department ladder truck.
New class graduates from NMLETC
Www.wcbi.com – Allie Martin – 2024-06-29 20:46:35. SUMMARY: Class B 76 graduated from the North Mississippi Law Enforcement Training Center in Tupelo, Mississippi. Twelve cadets completed a rigorous three-month basic academy that included training in self-defense, firearms, driving, constitutional law, and search and seizure. This was the first class under the academy's new director, Dan Mckinney, who expressed immense pride in the graduates' hard work and perseverance. Among the graduates was Deputy Joe Hamilton from the Monroe County Sheriff's Office, praised for his dedication and selflessness. The next basic class is scheduled to start in August.
