Several hogs killed after falling out of 18-wheeler in Sampson County. A road was littered with hogs Wednesday night in Sampson County. According to a state trooper, the rear door of an 18-wheeler carrying live hogs malfunctioned. The trooper said the truck began losing hogs from the time it left U.S. Route 421 until the time it stopped on Maxwell Road just before Bullard Pitt Road.
