San Angelo Central Volleyball Suffers First Loss of Season

MIDLAND, TX — The San Angelo Central volleyball team lost its first match of the season Tuesday in a tense four-setter against private school state power Midland Christian. The Lady Cats, who hadn't dropped a set in their first 12 matches, lost the opening two sets in Midland  before battling back in the third set. Midland Christian closed it out in the fourth for a 25-23, 25-21, 20-25, 25-21 win. Midland Christian, which advanced to the TAPPS state tournament last year, improved its record to 12-5.
