SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —A woman sustained non-capacitating injuries following a collision involving two vehicles on July 24, at around 3:50 p.m. on Beauregard Avenue, according to the San Angelo Police Department.

The incident occurred when a White Nissan Murano exited the Shipping Point parking lot, traveling east on Beauregard Avenue. At the same time, a White GMC Sierra was heading west on Beauregard. The Murano reportedly failed to yield the right of way and accelerated into the path of the Sierra.

The collision resulted in impact to the left passenger side of the Murano, including the driver’s door and rear passenger door. Emergency responders transported the woman to Shannon Hospital for treatment of her injuries, which were described as non-life-threatening.

No injuries were reported for the occupants of the Sierra, who were able to exit the vehicle through the passenger door following the collision. The woman driving the Murano is expected to receive a citation for failing to yield the right of way from a private drive.

Authorities also clarified that although a rescue truck responded to the scene, it was not used due to a lack of serious injuries requiring medical attention.

Further details may be released as they become available.
