    What to know for 2024

The Chiefs graduated a large group of seniors, including their top running back and top three receivers. Quarterback Auston Perez returns this season after missing most of last season due to injury, and the hope is he can establish rapport with the new group quickly. They return most of last year's starting offensive line, which improved as the season went on. Luna returns to the defensive line and should add an extra boost in the running game, while they hope White continues to improve after a strong finish to the 2023 season. The Chiefs fought through a multitude of injuries last season and Guevarra plans to take extra measures to keep the team healthier this season.

Coach Hector Guevarra on the 2024 season

"The district has changed a little bit so we're excited and I think we know it's going to be competitive. We respect all of the teams in our district and so we just gotta stay healthy and stay positive throughout the preseason, so we don't go into district injured... We've got to do a good job of controlling the ball early offensively and defensively we have to make sure people don't score quickly. I think coach Alambar has done a great job getting these guys ready defensively and coach Cortez has done great offensively."
