Art Until Sunset show celebrates local talent at Sunset Mall

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) —The Art Until Sunset show took place July 27, featuring a mix of artistic displays, live music, and family-friendly entertainment.

Wendy Woodring, the event organizer and owner of Storming Designs, expressed her passion for the show.”I’m really happy with doing this because we have a lot of talent,” Woodring said.

She highlighted the event’s attractions, including live music, body painting, and Mr.K’s balloon creations for children. Attendees also have the opportunity to vote for their favorite artist.

Woodring explained the importance of art in daily life.

“I think art is fundamental for life. Art is not just a piece that looks pretty; it is more than that. Real artists live from their art and support. Every single piece you see is made from them,” she said.

The event, which started at noon at 4001 Sunset Dr., features coloring sessions led by artist Ashely Perales as they awaited the unveiling of Sunny the Sheep at 3 p.m.The event concluded with an award ceremony at 5 p.m., honoring the contributions of all participating artists before wrapping up at 6 p.m.
