While the 97-65 loss to the Charlotte Hornets in the San Antonio Spurs ‘ first game of the California Classic Summer League was clearly not the desired outcome, we did get our first look at No. 4 overall pick of the 2024 NBA draft, Stephon Castle (12 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists) in the bargain this past Saturday (July 6) evening.

San Antonio’s other pick in the ’24 draft taking part in summer league action, Harrison Ingram (3 points, 7 boards, 1 assist) had a less gripping debut with the Summer Spurs, but it was a solid start for San Antonio’s exhibition play this summer.
