SAN ANTONIO (TCN) -- Police have identified a male and female they believe are responsible for fatally shooting a 33-year-old Sonic employee over the weekend.

San Antonio Police shared photos on social media of the two persons of interest on July 8 and said they were suspected of killing the employee on the evening of July 7 at the Sonic on the 5500 block of Babcock Road. Police have not publicly revealed the suspects' names.

According to KSAT-TV, the victim, Daniel Shrewsbury, reportedly got into a verbal dispute with the female suspect in the drive-thru, and during their argument, she pulled out a gun and shot him. Shrewsbury managed to get back inside the fast-food restaurant after he was shot. KSAT reports Shrewsbury's family thinks he called out the suspects for using fake money.

Shrewsbury was reportedly not supposed to work on the day of the shooting, KENS-TV reports.

Shrewsbury's mom, Peggy Cofield, told KSAT, "My son was caring, loving. A lot of people loved my son."

His brother, Jojo Shrewsbury, added, "He was a real good brother, not just to me, but everybody."
