Behind the scenes of the San Antonio Spurs at the NBA’s 2024 summer leagues

The San Antonio Spurs may not be at the most interesting they have been this coming 2024-25 NBA season given their long and storied history of contending for titles over the majority of the last two decades (we see you, Victor Wembanyama, but your time has not QUITE arrived — we think).

But what they do have going for them this next campaign is the excitement of their youth movement growing up around Wemby. And that was nowhere more apparent than in both the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer Leagues. It saw University of Connecticut alum Stephon Castle hint that he could be the steal of the 2024 NBA draft. It suggested similar vibes for University of North Carolina alum Harrison Ingram as well, and made for a great start to a new Spurs era.
