Rising San Antonio Spurs star forward Victor Wembanyama has been turning heads in his rookie season in the NBA after rocketing up to the league’s elite defenders in his inaugural campaign in the Association. And for good reason, given how much he is already impacting the play on the floor on both ends.

But how is Wemby changing the fortunes of the French National Team in the 2024 Paris Olympics medal race for 5-on-5 basketball? Is the French swingman making Team France a legitimate threat to beat the mighty US National Team? Will he ever, if he keeps developing at this pace?

To talk it over, the host of the “Locked On Spurs” podcast, Jeff Garcia, got together with San Antonio Sports Star’s James Pledger on a recent episode of their show.
