CFN Preview of All 134 Teams

Why this is the preseason Valero Alamo Bowl Projection

It’s always one of the better bowls for the Big 12, and this year it’ll be against a former Pac-12 program.

That opens this up a bit.

The loser of the Big 12 Championship will be hit-or-miss to get into the new expanded College Football Playoff, so it will probably be the league’s second or third-best team that gets in.

The former Pac-12 team is a little bit more difficult. It almost certainly won’t be Washington State or Oregon State, and it won’t be one of the new Big 12 teams from the old Pac-12 - Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, and Utah could be here, but from the Big 12.

That leaves USC, Washington, Oregon, or UCLA. USC makes the most sense.
