The Padres broke out again Saturday, in their second straight rout of the Diamondbacks, this time 13-1.

Jake Cronenworth and Ha-Seong-Kim led the way as the Friars enjoyed three four-run innings, helping erase the bad taste of a five-game stretch in which they dropped four of five by one run.

Both infielders had three-run home runs, with Kim’s coming in the second to give the Padres a 4-0 lead and Cronenworth’s in the fourth when the Padres broke the game open.

David Peralta also had three hits, including a double in the fifth that drove in two runs.

Matt Waldron benefitted from his teammates’ largesse, going six innings and giving up one run while striking out four in the win.

“He used all his weapons, he mixed really well,” said manager Mike Shildt. “(His) knuckleball was able to set up the other pitches, but the fastball and the sweeper had some life to it. So he did a really nice job to get us through six.”

After dropping the opening game of the series, 4-3, the Padres beat Arizona 10-3 Friday, riding a five-run eighth inning to gain the advantage in a tight game. Jurickson Profar provided the fireworks with a bases-clearing double, while Kim had another good night, with two hits and two RBIs, while scoring three runs.

And Fernando Tatis Jr. stayed hot, extending his hit streak to 14 games with three hits Thursday, a homer Friday and double Saturday.

The Padres send rookie Adam Mazur to the mound Sunday to close out the Arizona series before welcoming Oakland to Petco Park Monday.
