A 32-year-old man riding a 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was hospitalized Saturday after he slammed into the rear of a 2021 Harley-Davidson in the Kensington neighborhood of San Diego.

Officers from the police department responded at approximately 12:32 a.m. to the 4400 block of Aldine Drive, where they learned the victim was traveling north on Aldine when the 38-year-old man, who was riding his Harley-Davidson in front of the victim, stopped in front of a stop sign at the intersection of Aldine and Fairmont Avenue, a SDPD spokeswoman said.

The victim failed to stop, crashed into the man riding the 2021 Harley-Davidson and suffered an open compound fracture to his left leg.

He was taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the second motorcycle rider was not injured.

Officers from the department’s Traffic Division are handling the investigation and anyone with information related to it was asked to call 858- 495-7800 or Crime Stoppers at 888-580-8477.
