A San Diego man who pleaded guilty to trafficking women for sex across multiple states was sentenced Friday to 11 years and eight months in federal prison.

Davon Dunn admitted in a plea agreement to taking one woman to and from “dates” with customers in San Diego County, as well as posting commercial sex advertisements online featuring the woman.

He also admitted to transporting two other women from San Diego to Massachusetts, Virginia and Nevada for commercial sex, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Prosecutors say he physically struck two of the women in order to force them to engage in prostitution.

One of the women was struck in the face, ribs and back after she “indicated she no longer wished to engage in commercial sex acts,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.

Dunn was arrested in December of 2022 and pleaded guilty about two months later to sex trafficking by fraud, force and coercion.
