Police have released video of a stabbing on the boardwalk in Pacific Beach and are asking the public for help identifying the suspects, who are wanted for attempted murder.

The attack took place around 10:50 p.m. Sunday near Garnet Avenue, according to San Diego police. A 51-year-old man was stabbed multiple times in the back, resulting in significant internal injuries. A 23-year-old woman who was walking with him was also attacked, according to the department.

“There are four male and three female suspects. One male suspect, wearing a yellow shirt, sustained a cut on his left hand that likely required medical treatment,” police said in a social media post.

Police had earlier said that five or six teenagers walked up to the victims and “started an argument.”

Anyone with information about the attack was asked to contact Detective Clancy at 858-552-1727 or TClancy@pd.sandiego.gov. Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact Crime Stoppers online or at 888-580-8477.
