One injured in motorcycle crash on I-805

SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — One person was injured in a crash involving a motorcycle and two other vehicles Wednesday morning on Interstate 805 near North Park, authorities said.

According to California Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist crashed into a Chevrolet Silverado shortly after 6 a.m. while traveling northbound on I-805 near University Avenue. The rider lost control during the collision and then crashed into a Toyota van.

The motorcyclist, whose identity was not released, was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. No one else was hurt during the multi-vehicle collision.

CHP said everyone involved in the crash remained on the scene and cooperated with investigators. No further details were immediately released.
