CLEVELAND — The Guardians and San Diego Padres each have a 7-0 win this series entering Sunday's rubber match at Progressive Field.
The Guardians took Friday's game by a touchdown (and an extra point, for anyone wanting to be super technical) before being matched by the Padres in a 7-0 loss Saturday night .
Ben Lively, who recently discussed a wide variety of topics (including aliens) , takes the mound for the Guardians Sunday. The starting rotation hasn't had many bright spots this year, but Lively has been one of them.

Guardians fall to the Padres 2-1
Roberto Suarez retired Steven Kwan, Angel Martinez and Jose Ramirez in order in the ninth inning, and the Guardians have dropped Sunday's game to the Padres 2-1.
Ramirez, with two outs, drilled a ball to the warning track in center field, but it was caught to end the game.
The Padres loaded the bases with two outs against Cam Smith, who blew a fastball past past Ha-Seong Kim to escape the inning with the Guardians still clinging to a one-run deficit.
After Martinez's single, Jose Ramirez singled to right field but while trying to advance to second, he was thrown out by Manny Machado in one of the very rare baserunning mistakes by Ramirez. Josh Naylor followed with a groundout to the right side that scored Martinez, making it 2-1.
There will be no no-no in Cleveland today. Angel Martinez, to lead off the seventh inning, blooped a single into center field.
Martinez is the only Guardian to reach base today thus far.
Michael King is nine outs away from a no-hitter.
The Guardians have had only one baserunner, a walk to Michael King, thus far. King has six strikeouts and is at 70 pitches.
Manny Machado drilled a ball to the wall in right field, but Will Brennan was able to track it and grab it as he crashed into the right-field wall, taking away at least a double to lead off the sixth inning.
Michael King is officially on no-hitter watch. He has breezed through five innings against this Guardians lineup with one walk and five strikeouts so far.
King is only at 59 pitches.
The Guardians have their first baserunner but are still without a hit.
Manager Stephen Vogt said before the game that the Guardians would be in for a tough day against King's slider-sinker combo, which brings a ton of movement in both directions, and he wasn't kidding. King has been tremendous thus far, only allowing a walk to Angel Martinez through four innings.
The Guardians have taken one turn through the order and have yet to have a baserunner against Padres starter Michael King, who has struck out three so far.
The Padres lead the Guardians 2-0.
Ben Lively wasn't able to escape unharmed in the second inning.
With two runners on and Lively trying to retreat to the dugout, Padres catcher Kyle Higashioka doubled to left field to score two runs, giving the Padres an early 2-0 lead.
It wasn't the most efficient of innings, as Ben Lively needed 22 pitches to get through it, but the Guardians starter escaped the first without any damage.
