Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry.

Stephen Curry has indicated that he wants to spend his entire career with the Golden State Warriors. Such a sentiment is becoming increasingly rare in the NBA, as well as the entire sports landscape.

Speaking to Yahoo Sports' Vincent Goodwill , Curry stated that he wanted to be "a Warrior for life."

"I can clearly say I want to be a Warrior for life," the sharpshooter said. "That's always been my goal. And I'm saying that sitting in this chair right now, but like you said, life, and especially life in the NBA, it is a wild environment, and things change quickly, and the league has changed quickly, so we're trying to adapt and evolve."

Curry has played 956 games for Golden State and is averaging 24.8 points and 6.4 assists per game. Along with winning four NBA championships with the Warriors, the point guard is a 10-time All-Star and earned 10 All-NBA nods. Curry also was MVP of the league twice and was the 2022 NBA Finals MVP.

If Curry was to spend his entire career in Golden State, it would be a rare feat in the current NBA. Even crucial parts of an organization seem to be moved at least once in their career.

Warriors fans got an upfront view of that reality when Golden State decided to part ways with Klay Thompson . The now ex-Splash Brother played a key part in the organization's success but recently joined the Dallas Mavericks via a sign-and-trade deal.

Then there is the case of LeBron James . The NBA superstar was born in Akron, Ohio and, after he was drafted by the Cleveland Cavaliers, it seemed like a storybook career in the state was in store.

But while James was able to bring a championship to Cleveland, it was after he won two with the Miami Heat. He also left the Cavs for a second time to go play out west with the Los Angeles Lakers, where he seems primed to end his career.

Even outside of the NBA, players seem to always make a move before ending their career. Arguably the greatest example is Tom Brady leaving the New England Patriots and finishing his NFL career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

So if Curry does play his entire career with the Warriors, he deserves praise. In a sports landscape that continues to see players trade loyalty for increased odds at a championship or an increased payday, the point guard has long been dedicated to building a contender in Golden State.
