Klay Thompson’s final game in a Golden State Warriors uniform is among the most infamous ones involving the star in recent memory. In a play-in tournament loss last season to the Sacramento Kings, Thompson came up with zero points, missing all of his 10 attempts from the field, including six from behind the arc.

At that point, many believed that Thompson’s career was on its way down. Those naysayers aren’t changing their minds, especially after a video showing Thompson missing shots and getting blown by on defense in a pickup game against non-NBA players went viral.

That being said, many others are not buying what the video and its caption are trying to sell.

A fan finds it funny that people are calling Thompson "washed" and points out the apparent hypocrisy. "But 3 weeks ago everyone wanted him on the team as a shooter?”

Another fan criticized the viral video for featuring only the five shots Thompson missed instead of the 18 shots he made in the pickup game that garnered him 45 points.

Another fan defends Thompson, saying that the plays seen in the video can't even be considered lowlights when they're against players "that can really ball better."

“He is obviously practicing how to create his own shot which he was never good at nor had to really do his whole career," points out another fan. "It’s a process. Give him time. Eventually he will develop that handle and space creation," the fan added, cheering Klay on.

This next fan is optimistic that Thompson will be getting wide open shots when the new season opens in October. "He won’t need to do much off the dribble and will have plenty of time and room on catch and shoot threes.”

Another fan believes that Thompson “won’t be doing any of that on the Mavs." Instead, the fan thinks he will mostly "catch and shoot in the corner. Buckets.”

The viral video failed to show the highlights from Thompson's game, which the video below captured.

In what turned out to be his final season with the Warriors, Thompson averaged 17.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.3 assists while posting a 43.2 field goal percentage.
