    Juvenile detained in connection with shooting in SF's Crocker-Amazon District

    SAN FRANCISCO ( KRON ) — A juvenile was detained in connection with a shooting that happened Monday night in San Francisco, the San Francisco Police Department said.

    Police responded to the area of Geneva Avenue and Naples Street at about 6:49 p.m. for a reported shooting. The adult male victim was located on Geneva Avenue between Moscow and Prague Streets.

    The victim was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

    Officers found a boy under the age of 18 who matched the suspect description on the 900 block of Madrid Street. He was detained, and officers found a firearm on him. SFPD said it is choosing not to release information about charges because the investigation remains open.

    The 8 line on Muni was blocked in the area of the shooting due to police activity.
