NFL Fans Roasting San Francisco 49ers Coach For Bill Belichick Admission
By Angelo Guinhawa,
NFL fans couldn't help but laugh at San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan after he admitted that he tried to add Bill Belichick to his coaching staff.
Belichick failed to land an NFL head coaching job for the 2024 season after he and the New England Patriots parted ways at the end of the 2023 campaign. The Atlanta Falcons were rumored to be interested in him, but they ended up hiring Raheem Morris instead.
In his recent appearance on The TK Show with Tim Kawakami, Shanahan shared his shock that Belichick didn't get a coaching role. He went on to reveal that he reached out to the legendary tactician to offer him any role he wanted on the 49ers, including the defensive coordinator position.
However, Belichick declined the offer and opted to take a break from coaching.
While Shanahan was simply expressing his respect and admiration for Belichick, others found his attempt to recruit the six-time Super Bowl champion quite funny.
"LMAO Kyle have you seen Bill's resume?? He's not gonna be a DC for a coach 28 years younger than himself, especially at this point in his career," a commenter shared. Another one agreed and said, "You don't offer a captain a waiters job."

"He might be taking his job next year if the 49ers choke again," a follower joked. A fourth social media user had the same sentiment, "49ers shoulda fired Shanahan and hired Bill."
"Let him head coach and you OC then," a fifth poster said.
"Lmfao holding aiyuk hostage and disrespecting goat bill with a coordinator role," a critic furthered.
Some fans did say that Bill Belichick joining the 49ers as Kyle Shanahan's defensive coordinator would have been insane. But as many pointed out, it's simply hard to imagine him taking a role below a head coaching position.
