Draymond Green Told The Warriors To Call Off A Potential Trade For Win-Now Veteran

In an appearance on the 'Club 520 Podcast,' 4x NBA champion Draymond Green revealed that the Warriors had a trade in place to add a win-now player to the roster. He also revealed that he told his team not to do it for the sake of preserving their future.

“[The Warriors] were about to make a trade last week and I told them straight up like that trade helps me," said Green. "It'll help me right now in my career but I've always spoken to y'all for what's best for the organization and I won't stop now. That’s a bad trade, don’t do that trade. I disagree with it, although it going to help me right now.”

To improve as a team often requires sacrificing the future.
