The San Jose Sharks announced the rest of Ryan Warsofsky's coaching staff and the return of former player Ryane Clowe as the new assistant general manager.

According to the Sharks, Clowe will work closely with GM Mike Grier and assistant GMs Joe Will and Tom Holy. He will oversee all aspects of the Sharks Hockey Operations department.

Clowe was with the New York Rangers organization for the last three seasons as the senior advisor and hockey operations advisor to GM Chris Drury. Clowe helped Drury in all areas of hockey operations, which included scouting.

Clowe was drafted by the Sharks in the sixth round of the 2001 NHL draft and played 491 games in his NHL career. He played eight seasons with the Sharks and, in 423 games in Teal, scored 101 goals and 170 assists.

Clowe was a fan favorite and would always stand up for his teammates. He did make a wrong decision that will go down in NHL history when he played the puck from the bench against the Los Angeles Kings in 2012.

San Jose also announced the hiring of two new assistant coaches to join Warsofsky's staff. Brian Wiseman will also return to the bench. Goalie coach Thomas Speer, video coach Nick Gialdini, and assistant video coach Cody Ward all return from last season.

The two new additions are Jeff Ulmer and Doug Houda.

THN first reported Ulmer as someone who could join the staff yesterday.

Ulmer is coming from the Abbotsford/Vancouver Canucks organization. He was an assistant coach for the AHL Canucks for the last three seasons.

Houda was with the New York Islanders for the last two seasons. He ran the defense and penalty kill for the Isles. Houda has a ton of experience. Before his time with the Islanders, he spent six years with the Detroit Red Wings and ten years with the Boston Bruins as an assistant coach. He won the Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011.

Scott Gordon was on the Sharks staff last season but won't return under Warsofsky.
