Popular SLO coffeehouse opens a new location in town — but with a different name

Coastal Peaks Coffee has opened a new coffee shop to San Luis Obispo, taking over the previous location of Lucy’s Coffee Co.

Seven Sisters Coffee opened this month at 1279 Laurel Lane.

Despite the different name, Seven Sisters is operated under the same ownership as Coastal Peaks, which is located at 3566 South Higuera St.

The shops’ baristas work at both locations, but for some employees there is something special about the new cafe.

“I love this space in particular, with all the plants and open space,” Seven Sisters Coffee barista Devon Garlick told The Tribune. “Its nice to feel like a part of the community, like I get to serve the same people almost every day.”

Seven Sisters takes the space formerly occupied by Lucy’s Coffee Co. , which announced the expected opening of its new location at the San Luis Ranch Farms on Froom Ranch Way in July.

The soft opening for the new marketplace at SLO Ranch Farms is set for Aug. 10.
