Sandoval County, Rio Rancho Fire Rescue working together in Ruidoso
Three local fire rescue departments have combined forces to form a Regional Swift water rescue team that is currently working in Ruidoso. Sandoval County Fire Rescue, Rio Rancho Fire Rescue and Albuquerque Fire Rescue formed the Regional Swift water rescue team, which has made several water rescues and assisted with evacuations caused by the detrimental floods from the burn scars of the South Fork and Salt fire in Ruidoso.
Albuquerque Man Accused of Threatening Sandoval County Judge
Las Cruces police arrested an Albuquerque man June 26 in Las Cruces on charges of threatening a Sandoval County judge. According to court documents, 54-year-old Robert Jaramillo allegedly made threats “towards the safety of” a 13th Judicial District Court Judge over a several-week period. Bernalillo Wants to Add Walmart Gas Station to Busy Highway
Bernalillo Town councilors were presented with plans to add a new Walmart gas station and convenience store along busy Highway 528. If approved, it would be the first in Sandoval County. Man arrested for threatening Sandoval County Judge
A judge at the 13th Judicial District Court in Sandoval County received death threats June 25 resulting in the arrest of Robert Jaramillo, 54, of Albuquerque. According to a criminal complaint filed by Sandoval County Sheriff's Office deputies, an assistant to one of the judges received several calls from Jaramillo stating he was going to beat up the judge and kill him. The judge stated these kind of calls have been going on for about a month before deputies became involved.
