Sandy Kiwanians invite all to annual breakfast, car show in Hull Park

With July just around the corner, members of the Sandy Kiwanis Club are readying their smiles and spatulas for the annual Cruise-in & Breakfast at Hull Park and Learning Center, 43233 S.E. Oral Hull Road, Sandy.

This year, the traditional community car show will run from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, July 28.

The event will include all of the trappings that have come to be expected, such as the pancake breakfast, snack shack, classic cars and selection of vendors.

Event Co-Chairperson Cheryl Richardson said since moving the location of the cruise-in a few years ago, they’ve been building momentum back and otherwise focusing on keeping the event as much like what people have come to expect as possible.

“I really enjoy the event,” Richardson said. “I love seeing all the people mix and the whole community that comes out. The sense of community and being able to provide something the community supports and can enjoy is very satisfying.”

Breakfast is $10 for adults and $5 for children, and it is $15 to enter a car in the show. Registration for the car show is done day of.

People and businesses interested in vending at the event can sign up through July 15.

All the funds raised at the event benefit the Sandy community through Kiwanis programs, including the Christmas Basket Program and annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Kiwanis Club also offer rent assistance and support other charities like AntFarm and the Sandy Community Action Center throughout the year.
