2023 TCU Women’s Triathlon Recap
TCU Triathlon had an incredible inaugural season, winning two races and having a great showing in the National Championship race in Tempe, Arizona. The Frogs started their season off with a bang, winning their first-ever competition in the DeGray Lake Triathlon in Caddo Valley, Arkansas on Sept. 10. The top six finishers in the race were all Horned Frogs with Maria Coral taking the top spot thanks to a great time of 1:04:14.30. Sara Gimena and Jenna Buchanan finished in second and third behind Coral thanks to excellent times of 1:04:43.50 and 1:04:46.20 respectively. Amanda Moro and Elena Viejo rounded out the top five finishing in fourth and fifth place with times of 1:05:06.60 and 1:05:34.00 respectively.

Arlington Sage win a travel softball World Series championship
The Arlington Sage 14-under girls softball team won the USSSA B Space Coast World Series recently in Viera, Fla. The World Series fastpitch traveling softball title was a first for the Sage program at any age level in its 25-year history. The Sage finished 8-0 in the double-elimination Series, defeating teams from Florida, Texas, Louisiana, Georgia and Virginia. They were 4-0 in the pool-play round without allowing a run and scoring 28.
Manikandesh Named WGCA All-American Scholar
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – UT Arlington's Nitisha Manikandesh was named to the 2023-24 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars List announced on Tuesday. The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are among some of the most stringent in all collegiate athletics with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 needed to be included on the team. In addition, members must have competed in at least 50 percent of the rounds completed by the team in 2023-24.
LSU, SMU to play at Smoothie King Center in 2025-26 season
Like many other major-conference programs, LSU has looked for neutral-site games on its non-conference schedule. The Tigers now appear to be playing one in New Orleans. LSU and SMU have signed a two-game, neutral-site series that will open on Dec. 14 at Dickie’s Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The second game will be played in the 2025-26 season at Smoothie King Center.
