Dear Placitas Community Library Patrons, Supporters, and Friends,. On Sunday, July 14th, the American flag was inadvertently hung upside down outside the library. It was a mistake made by a new volunteer being trained. As chair of the Placitas Community Library Board, I sincerely apologize to the community for this mistake. There was no disrespect intended, and it was hung correctly as soon as it was discovered that it had been hung incorrectly.
