Brush Fire Near Hart Park In Newhall Quickly Knocked Down

A brush fire near Hart Park in Newhall was quickly knocked down Friday.

The brush fire, dubbed the Vince Fire, was first reported around 11:50 a.m. on the 24150 block of Newhall Avenue at Hart Park, said Fred Fielding, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

The small fire had been reported next to one of the historic bunkhouses at Hart Park.

As of 12 p.m., the fire is at a quarter acre.

Crews were able to stop forward progression of the fire.
