Jasper’s historic Ruxer Field, transitioning from grass to turf
JASPER, Ind. (WFIE) - Big changes are underway, for one of the most historic and iconic baseball fields in the Tri-State area. Yes, the end of an era has come, for Jasper’s Ruxer Field. It’s been an all-natural grass and dirt field, since it’s inception, but now, they are tearing up that surface and replacing it with a brand-new, all-turf field. The project is estimated to cost just over $2 million, and be finished later this year.
