SANTA ROSA BEACH, Fla. ( WMBB ) — 30A residents and visitors have upcoming opportunities for an intimate country concert with Brian Kelley.

As half of the Grammy-nominated Florida Georgia Line duo, Kelley is now on a solo campaign in the music world.

Kelley is spending some special nights in Grayton Beach for Surf Post Sessions.

“It’s good vibes, good times, good people. That’s kind of our motto,” said Brian Kelley, Country music singer-songwriter.

Kelley started the series in 2022, took a creative music break in 2023, and is in full swing for 2024.

“I’m playing songs off of ‘Sunshine State of Mind’, songs off ‘Tennessee Truth’, some unreleased jams. I’ve been writing some of my favorites that I haven’t released yet. I’m looking forward to releasing them and we got some covers in the mix,” Kelley said.

Selling out six shows already this summer, Kelley said the event is a huge success.

“Big shows are great. I love going to big shows. I love playing big shows. But when you strip it down and make it super intimate, those are the the kind of lifelong memories that I’m really interested in making. And I think the fans that are showing up are as well,” Kelley said.

The Surf Post Sessions will run through July and the staff said they will plan to add a few more shows for this summer and fall. In the meantime, Brian Kelley said each concert is different here at the Tribe Kelley Surf Post and they have a couple special events coming up for the end of July.

“July 30 and 31, what’s going to make those nights even more special is we’re recording a ‘Live from the Surf Post’ album and videotape, and we’re going to put it out on Youtube. It’ll be all over the streaming services, and those nights are going to be turned up probably a little louder and a little longer than the other nights,” Kelley said.

The surf post is located off Hotz Ave. near the Grayton Dunes Beach Access.

Tickets range from $100 to $750.

Brian Kelley even got playful with the media before his Monday night performance.

“If you had to pick a kitchen appliance to be, what is it, a why?” asked News 13s Kimber Collins.

“That’s a good one. I’m gonna have to be a blender you know, because I like to blend it up. All the creativity, all the ideas, and then pour it out, see what we get. And you can throw so many different things in the blender. That’s what I like about it,” Kelley said.
